In-House Sales Representative – Western Quebec

The mandate

The Sales Representative will manage, sell to and service independents accounts by providing information, support materials, and presenting Orage products. He / She will strive to achieve sales and profitability goals by season as defined by Sales Director. The Sales Representative’s mandate is also to develop & maintain strong customer relationships with buyers, sales associates and all internal partners as well as proactively identify business opportunities.

The responsibilities

• Research opportunities for the brand in the Ski, Outdoor, Action Sports and General Sporting Goods distribution channels in his / her territory;
• In-store presence; help with in-store presentation, ensure good positioning of products and POP materials, work with buyers and store staff to ensure good sell thru and profitability for retailers.
• Elaborate a detailed “road trip plan” as well as a “show schedule” and communicate the progression of plan on a weekly basis to Sales Director.
• Work with an allocated budget to create and participate in events to help build brand awareness at retail. (i.e.: Sponsor regional athletes and ambassadors)
• Review orders / deliveries and make sure to maximize Orage’s potential within each retailer. Communicate and confirm analysis with each buyer.

The requirements

If you possess a diploma in business, marketing, advertising or you have 3 – 5 years experience in a similar position, and are bilingual (written and spoken), you are the candidate we are looking for! You also need to have good communication skills with outstanding presentation skills and great capacity of negotiation. Please note that the knowledge of the sport / ski industry is an asset.

Le Mandat

Le Représentant des ventes est responsable de la gestion, de la vente et du soutient aux comptes indépendants en fournissant de l’information, du support matériel et en présentant les produits Orage. Il / Elle devra réaliser, à chaque saison, les objectifs de ventes et atteindre les buts de rentabilité tels que défini par le Directeur des ventes. Le Représentant des ventes devra aussi développer et maintenir de bonnes relations avec les acheteurs ainsi que les associés de plancher.

Les responsabilités

• Effectuer des recherches d’opportunités d’affaires pour la marque Orage dans les canaux de distribution du Ski, du Plein-air, du ″Action Sport″ et du ″General Sporting Goods’’ dans son territoire;
• Présence en magasin; aider avec la présentation en magasin, assurer le bon positionnement des produits et des outils POP, travailler avec les acheteurs et le personnel de magasin pour assurer de bonnes ventes et une rentabilité pour les détaillants.
• Élaborer un plan de route détaillé ainsi qu’un calendrier de show et communiquer la progression du plan sur une base bi-mensuelle au Directeur des ventes.
• Travailler avec un budget alloué pour créer et participer à des événements afin d’aider à développer une ″brand awareness″ au détail. (ex. : parrainer des athlètes régionaux et des ambassadeurs)
• Réviser les commandes / livraisons et s’assurer de maximiser le potentiel d’Orage pour chacun des détaillants. Communiquer et confirmer l’analyse avec chaque acheteur.

Les exigences

Vous possédez un diplôme en administration, marketing, publicité ou 3 à 5 ans d’expérience dans un poste similaire et êtes bilingues (écrit et parlé), vous êtes le candidat que nous cherchons! Vous devez aussi avoir de bonnes compétences de communication avec des habiletés de présentation remarquables ainsi et capacité de négociation remarquable. Il est à noter que la connaissance de l’industrie du sport est un atout.

Mr. Trudel has 20 plus years of industry experience, having worked for Salomon, where he served the sales and marketing, initiated the snowboard and outerwear program in Canada. He’s also managed sales and marketing for Flow Snowboards in North America and most recently he introduced and led Skull Candy in the Canadian market in distributor partnership.

Responsible for business development for the entire North American market and international distribution, he will be entrusted with the task of extending the reach of the Orage brand and attain its global potential.
